After a disappointing loss in the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal series against the Washington Capitals the New York Rangers looked to make some changes during the off-season to prevent last years woes from occurring again. In doing so we saw several big names leave the team such as Scott Gomez who was sent to Montreal for Chris Higgins and Ryan McDonagh. Less the 24 hours later the Rangers made another big splash by add veteran goal scorer Marian Gaborik to a five-year contract. This signing should help the Ranger’s previous seasons scoring issues and hopefully be that key addition that will propel them to the next level and back in the Stanley Cup hunt.
